Querciabella Camartina 2010

Camartina is a quintessential 'super-tuscan'. Power and elegance combine to produce a wonderful experience.

Jancis Robinson gives this 17+/100:

70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Sangiovese. Mid crimson. Youthful dark fruit and cherry with a hint of iron or graphite. Exudes class. Compact yet ripe sweet fruit with a muscular but well-balanced tannic frame. Herbal notes on a concentrated but not heavy finish. (WS) (Drink between 2013-2022)

Vinous gives this 95+/100:

The 2010 Camartina is one of the most beautiful versions of this wine I have tasted in some time. Layered and vibrant on the palate, the 2010 impresses for its finesse and nuance. Freshly cut flowers, mint, dark red berries and graphite all meld together in a wine of exceptional refinement. Today, the aromas and flavors are naturally not fully expressive, but another few years should work wonders. The cool, late-ripening season yielded a Camartina of understated class and pedigree. This is a fabulous showing. (Drink between 2015-2025)
